Brothers in Baseball
In my community here in Orange County, baseball is a social hub and central part to both my kids childhoods. The city comes together from all schools to play together in Little League play and form friendships that they treasure. My youngest Kellen started off on a blanket under a tree beyond the outfield fence watching me, to trying to climb onto the field, and then onto his own team where his older brother coached, and eventually umpired his games.
Although my oldest no longer plays baseball, I wanted to create a personal project to to commemorate the love of baseball from my youngest and the bond they both share. We took one photo each year of the two of them together during baseball season.
If you are anything like me, you treasure your photographs, and I am not always intentional in the photos I get. Mostly I see something that is cute or funny, and I take out my phone and try to capture it. But in this case, we set out to be sure each year we got one good photo of these two brothers together.
And now that my oldest moved off to college, I treasure these more than ever. So lucky that they have a great bond, and I am so glad I tried my best to capture a piece of h
